Corporate Responsibility
How we define CSR.

An organization’s commitment to operating in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable manner; while recognizing the interests of its stakeholders, the environment and society at large

Introduction

Business today and the future are looking seriously towards caring for the society from which it operates. It has to be realized that Cairns Foods Ltd is benefiting a lot from the society it is operating from and it is also impacting negatively to this same society. Paying back the costs of the negative impacts can be impractical hence the need to alleviate the society’s plight under good corporate citizenship.

Previous involvements

The Avondale clean up programme, which entailed taking responsibility for the cleaning of the surroundings around the busy shopping mall.
Schools and nursery reclamation of waste. This was orchestrated to reclaim our post consumption waste for proper environmentally friendly disposal and recycling
Ardbennie industrial clutter clean up. Periodically clean up the industrial area where Cairns Foods Ltd Head Offices are located.

Focus of our CSR programmes

We respect the culture, ethics and social values of the society in which we operate. We do this in tandem with the political and legal requirements of the society. Our efforts are for sustainable environment support – harmony with nature.
